Shouldn't her bio describe her?

The fact that Miss Okoli's bio says "I'm funny on most times on YouTube" will always bother me. Nobody asked for my opinion but this is what i think.

The concept of social media is to portray yourself as perfect but here's Amy doubting herself, okay maybe she's not doubting herself but basically stating what she thinks. But how can authencity come with the word most times? Rude right? To fully portray your life how it takes both courage and wisdom, authenticity got Amy where she is now and that's one quality everyone should potray.

So the A in AMY stands for Authentic.

A good book goes through lots of stages, the amount of papers tossed in the trash because the writer didn't like that piece, the sentences erased because it didn't fit, from the writer to the editor, to the proof-reader and other stages it has to face to become a new york best seller and i can say if Amy's life was a book i would buy it in hard copy so I can truly cherish it.

I stumbled on Amy's channel last year, i was off Instagram and spent my life watching YouTube videos on my brother's phone and then I found her the video i saw was a shopping vlog where she checked her height and then i proceeded to watch her other videos, the one that truly caught my fancy was a clothing haul, she said she had gotten her clothes from yaba market and she stated the prices and I was truly stunned, i had never seen such transparency from an influencer and that got me hooked.

Now let's reflect, from Yaba market to receiving clothes from brands like Revolve and Zaful, we all know this just the beginning, this is the story of an inspiring main character.

MADURA

In Spanish Madura means; Mature - you're thinking why didn't I just write it English?- When one sees gold, he tries to describe it in the most beautiful way he can.

Maturity is beyond age, maturity comes from growth and the ability to sit, listen and observe but maturity comes with a lot of pain, mental breaksdowns, deactivation of accounts, losing friends, anxiety and at a certain point one will consider giving up but she's still thriving isn't she? 

So here we are supporting the winning team.

Yielding

Would a farmer sow on bad land? Would a fisherman cast is net in a river with no fish? Would Bob the builder try to fix where there is no problem?

One can only invest on people that are profitable but you cannot be productive without hard-work, growth, tears and lots of tissue.

Dear Amy,

This might not be worth much but this is to help you remember the struggles and how far you've gotten, this to let you know that no matter how hard it gets you can do it and you will only continue to grow, this is my new year's gift to you. I genuinely love you and wish you peace and if it ever gets too hard, run back here.

 

You're probably wondering why I didn't talk about how beautiful she is, i'll do that when a word that really portray her true essence is found.
